ARTHUR FRIEDL

Arthur J. Friedl, 54, of 615 Fremont St., Kiel, died at his home Tuesday.
He was born Dec. 23, 1919 at Waupun, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Friedl. He attended school there. Mr. Friedl was employed as a guard at the State Prison at Waupun for several years.

He was a World War II veteran and served with Battery A of the 530 Field Artillary Battalion in the European, African and Middle Eastern Theaters. On June 14, 1947 he married Grace Hess at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fond du Lac. The couple lived at Waupun and Fond du Lac before moving to Kiel 10 years ago. Since March 1955 he has been employed at Kohler Co. His wife died on Sept. 14, 1968.

Survivors are two sons, a sister, Mrs. Lester Loehr of Rosendale and a brother Delbert of Milwaukee. Mr. Friedl was a member of the Kiel Fish and Game Association and Manitowoc Tribe 49, Improved Order of Redmen and
the 24-hour club of the lodge.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, and will be announced in Thursday's Press. Members of the lodge will meet at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Thursday.
