Graveside services for Charlene L. FIELDS, 61, of Akins community were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Akins Cemetery northeast of Sallisaw, with Rev. Joe Fonville officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. FIELDS died Saturday, June 23, 2001, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was born October 10, 1939, in Hanson to Truman WOODY and Alpha CULLUM WOODY. She married J.C. FIELDS on December 5, 1956 in Sallisaw. Survivors include her husband, J.C. of the home; four daughters and sons-in-law, Alene and Charles, Mary Jean and David, Johnnie and David, and Donna and Michael; three granddaughters; seven grandsons; one great-grandson; two great-granddaughters; one sister, Jeanette; five brothers, Fay, Ray, James, Newton, and Dewey; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by two daughters, Mona Ray FIELDS and Billie TABOR; three sisters, Alene SIXKILLER, Lenora CAUGHMAN and Inez QUINTON and one brother, Jim WOODY.
