Adolphus Copas,71,Route 2,Scottsville,died at the Allen County War Memorial Hospital.

A native of Monroe County,he was the son of the late Carlos and Attie(Deckard)Copas,and the husband of Mildred(White)Copas,who survives.He was a retired farmer.

Survivors:two sons,Arnold Copas and Roger Copas,Scottsville;three daughters,Fredia Crowe,Tompkinsville;Margie Cooper of Indiana and Dorris Mings,Scottsville. Three brothers,Raymond Copas,Indiana and Reed and Creed Copas,both of Texas;three sisters-Marie Davis of Florida, Velsie Destefano of Arizona and Evon Vontress,Indiana;15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Goad Funeral Home in Scottsville,with Rev. Curtis Brown and Rev. Alburn Gillian officiating. Burial was at the White Cemetery in Monroe County.
