Thomas J. Gleason, 64, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away March 29, 2009 at his residence. Born April 5, 1944 in Syracuse, NY, Tom was a 1962 graduate of Most Holy Rosary High School, a 1966 graduate of Notre Dame, a Captain in U.S. Marine Corp and a Vietnam veteran. He was president of Gleason & Associates and the Retirement Store; member of Valley Leadership Class 2, lifetime member of Financial Executive Institute, and NFL Players Association Financial Advisor. He was also a member of St. Maria Goretti Parish in Scottsdale. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Catherine; three daughters and their husbands, Margaret and Rodney Heyen, Katie and Joe Rotello and Karen and Vincent Parrott; one son, Thomas J. Gleason Jr.; one sister and her husband, Marilyn and Ed Campagna; and eight grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 2 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 6261 N. Granite Reef Road, Scottsdale, with a visitation one hour prior to the Mass. Interment with military honors by the U.S. Marine Corps will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 3 at The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ. Messinger Indian School Mortuary assisted the Gleason family with arrangements.
