Dorthey J Chappell, the daughter of Joseph Chapple and Estella Smith, was born September 10, 1921 and died from an acute cold and strangulation on November 13, 1921. Her funeral was handled by I. S. Lewis Funeral Home and she was interred in Evergreen Negro Cemetery, Houston, TX on November 13, 1921.
