Darrell was born March 30, 1938 at Toledo, IL to Clarence and Marjorie (Roberts) Lake. He married Yadira Valencia March 3, 1972 at Arecibo, Puerto Rico.
He was a retired truck driver and a member of Cisne Missionary Baptist Church, Cisne American Legion and a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a Veteran.
Darrell is survived by his wife Yadira Lake; three daughters Sheena Green (and her husband Howard) and Tari Ann Guest (and her husband Rick); Misty Lake; six sons Alan Lake (and his wife Kathy); Tommy Lake (and his wife Nikki); Danny Lake; Angel Lake (and his wife Rhonda); Darrell Lake, Jr. (and his wife Nikki); Ryan Lake (and his wife Missy); a sister Kaye Withrow (and her husband Virgil); eight brothers Norman Lake, Calvin Lake (and his wife Anita); Boyd Lake (and his wife Sandy); Lloyd Lake; Roger Lake; Gary Lake (and his wife Janie); Justin Lake (and his wife Carolyn); Theryle Lake (and his wife Kelly); 28 grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were a sister and his parents.
