Maggie O. Honeycutt was born January 23, 1886 on a farm near Mt. Clare, Nebraska. Her parents, Orval (sic) Peters and Pamelia (sic) Kitchen (NOTE: A relative stated that her maiden name was Sharp; however, this is what was in the newspaper.) Peters moved to Utica, Kansas where she was raised. Maggie Peters was married to William Luther Honeycutt on October 31, 1906 at Utica, Kansas. Maggie and William moved to Blue Rapids, Kansas where their family was raised. Later they moved to Superior, Nebraska.

On January 30, 1948, William Honeycutt passed away. Besides her husband, Maggie was preceeded in death by 1 daughter, Ruth and 1 son, Donald.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Faye (Mrs. Ernest Schriever) of Nelson, Floy (Mrs. Raymond Porter) of Nelson and Della (Mrs. Robert Arcus) of Chicago, Illinois; 1 son, Roy of Nelson; 1 sister, Mrs. Emma Burrel of Hayes, Kansas; 1 brother, James C. Peters of Ann Arbor, Michigan; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Maggie Honeycutt passed away on January 28, 1971 in Superior, Nebraska, at the age of 85 years and 5 days.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 30, 1971, at 2:00 p.m. from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior with The Rev. Moicelio Cruz officiating. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Superior.
