Lorenzo Mitchell, 80, a former ranch hand and resident of Moreland, died at Kelso, Washington February 4, 1973 after a heart ailment. He had lived in Washington for three years. He was born at Hooper, Utah on December 9 1893 and spent his early life there. He married Clara Elizabeth Lundquist in 1914 at Aberdeen, Idaho and lived there for a few years until moving to Kelso, Washington in 1945. He moved to the Moreland area and worked for the Augustine Ranch. His wife died on November 17, 1957. On November 30, 1966 he married Mrs. Orissa Taylor Young. They made their home at Moreland until the fall of 1969 when he moved to Longview, Washington to be near his daughters.
