Viola Steffey
Funeral services will be held in Logansport, Monday for Mrs. Viola STEFFEY, 76, who died at her home there, 175 West Eighth street, of a heart attack suffered at 7:15 p.m. Friday while sitting on the front porch.
Last rites will be conducted at the Eikenberry funeral home at 2 p.m. Monday and burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Rochester. Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. Sunday.
Mrs. Steffey was born in Rochester on March 4, 1879, and lived here until moving to Peru 14 years ago. Her parents were Lafayette and Ettie BRICKMAN FENSTERMAKER. Her first marriage was Nov. 5, 1893, to George FUNK, who died in 1935. In 1941 she was married to Wilson STEFFEY, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. A. C. ALLWINE, Logansport; and Mrs. Dea FULTZ, Rochester; one brother, Roy FENSTERMAKER, California; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Trinity EUB church.
