Rev. Albert L. Matejka, 93 of Vandalia died 1:55 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 5, 1985) in Utlaut Memorial Hospital, Greenville.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Assembly of God Church, St. Elmo. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, St. Elmo.

Rev. Matejka was born in Portland, Mo., son of Albert and Nancy Matejka. He was an Assembly of God minister for 60 years and was pastor of the Vandalia Assembly of God Church for 13 years, before retiring. He married Lenora I. Hayes in 1951.

Surviving are his wife; sons, Robert and Harold, both of St. Charles, Mo.; Albert Jr., of Barnett, Mo.; daughter , Lynnette Matejka of St. Louis, Mo.; sister, Susie Sellenschuetter of St. Charles, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.

One son, one brother, and five sisters preceded him in death.
