Celina, TN– Funeral Services for Ruby Fowler Scott, age 97, of Celina, TN will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 29, 2016 at Upton- Hay Funeral Home with Kenny Westmoreland officiating and interment to follow in the Scott Cemetery in the Pea Ridge Community of Clay County.

Ruby Fowler Scott passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at Signature Healthcare of Monroe County in Tompkinsville, KY.

Ruby was born Sunday, March 30, 1919 in Clay County, TN to the late Amos and Gladys (Smith) Stone.Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Elbert T. Scott and 1 grandchild, Rawlin Scott as well as 2 sisters, Nardy Copass and Evelyn Stone. Throughout her life she was first a wife and mother, and served in many roles including a member of the Beech Bethany Church of Christ. Ruby was a dedicated homemaker for most of her adult life.

She is survived by her son, Perry Scott and wife, Joyce of Celina, TN; daughter, Emma Jean Baxter and husband, Kirk of Tompkinsville, KY; brother, Harold Stone of Celina, TN; 3 grandchildren, Edmond Langford and wife, Stephanie of Cookeville, TN, Rachel Craig and husband, Michael of Kingston Springs, TN, and Amy Hale and husband, Stevie Of Tompkinsville, KY. 5 great-grandchildren, Nicholas Langford, James Craig, Jordan Hale, Jacob Hale and Jessalyn Hale and 1 great-great-grandchild, Brance Wilson as well as many friends who also mourn her passing.
