Born Aug. 10, 1924, in Oliver Springs, she lived in Harlan County, Ky., for 20 years and in Michigan for 22 years. A faithful and active member of Beech Park Baptist Church, Oliver Springs, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Clay Gallahar; parents, Lewis Colombus and Callie Vann Braden; daughter, Carolyn Ann Costa; sister, Ruby Braden; and brothers, Cherrell Braden, Daniel “Blueford” Braden, Dennis Roy Braden and Eldon Braden.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and William Vamos of Detroit; sons and daughters-in-law, Danny Franklin and Peggy Gallahar of Harper Woods, Mich., and Darrell Dewayne and Gina Gallahar of Claxton; son-in-law, Robert Costa, Sr. of Rockwood, Mich.; special grandchildren, Wendy Young and Sheila Nagy; grandchildren, Danny Gallahar, Autumn Gallahar, Brian Gallahar, Eric Gallahar, Shane Gallahar, Chelsea Gallahar, Steven Wallace, Paul Smith, Robert Costa Jr., Thomas Costa, Andrew Costa, Angela Costa, Matthew Costa, Anita Wilson and Kayla Beck; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, L.C. and Leoria Braden of Ewing, Va., Richard and Ailene Braden of Dearborn Heights, Mich., and Lester Braden of Allen Park, Mich.; sisters-in-law, Sue Braden, Ethel Wyrick and JoAnn Braden all of Oliver Springs, and Faye Braden of Harriman, TN; friends and caregivers, Susie Woods and Cyndi Lissenbe of Oliver Springs; and special family members, Pat and Naomi Caudill, Jeanette “Birdie” Bell, Carol Brown, John Young and Tracy Fields.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 21, in Sharp Funeral Home, Oliver Springs. Funeral service will follow in the chapel, with Pastor Gary Smith and Pastor Robbie Leach officiating. Graveside service and burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, at Indian Creek Cemetery.
