F. Hartman Succumbs In Hospital

RIMERSBURG – Fred Brainard Hartman, 74, of Rimersburg RD 1, a resident of the Rimersburg vicinity a major portion of his life, died Tuesday morning in the Oil City Hospital, following a short illness. Born in Clarion Township, Clarion County, September 22, 1891, he was the son of Aaron and Mary K. Snyder Hartman. In 1964, Mr. Hartman and his wife, the former Blanche C. Stewart, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Hartman survives. Mr. Hartman was a retired employe of the Pennsylvania Department of Highways. Prior to this employment, he worked at the Rimersburg Coal Company. He was a member of the Cherry Run United Presbyterian Church which is located near Rimersburg. In addition to this wife, Mr. Hartman is survived by one son, Clare L. of Warren; two brothers, Henry H. of Clarion RD 1 and Jesse V. of California; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. A son, Karl S., preceded him in death. Removal was made to the J. D. Miller Funeral Home in Rimersburg, where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home, with Rev. J. W. Cummings III, pastor of the Cherry Run United Presbyterian Church, and Rev. Robert D. Reader, pastor of the Edenburg Presbyterian Church of Knox officiating. Interment will follow in the Cherry Run United Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
