Thomas was the son of Amaziah Zeno Bailey and Cassie A Cain. He married Amelia Josephine Bibb. They were the parents of two sons, Thomas Zeno Bailey, Jr and Bradley Bibb Bailey.

T.Z. BAILEY IS CALLED AWAY –

Thomas Zeno Bailey, aged 49 years, prominent for many years in North Alabama business circles, died this morning at his home, 639 Sherman Street, of a heart attack. Mr. Bailey had not been ill recently, but his health for the past several years had not been good. Mr. Bailey was at breakfast when the attack came between 6:30 and 7:00 o’clock. He died about 8:15, never having regained consciousness.

Funeral arrangements will not be completed until work is received from Thomas Bailey who is in the Army stationed at Boca Raton, Fla.

Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife; two sons, Thomas and Brad Bibb Bailey and one brother, A.C. Bailey of Decatur.

For many years Mr. Bailey had taken a most active interest in church and civic affairs. He was a steward of Central Methodist Church and long a member of Decatur Kiwanis club. He was president of the Albany Grain and Coal Co. of Decatur and president of the A.Z. Bailey Grocery Co, at Cullman. Funeral announcements will be made by McAfee, Howell & Young.
