Passing Of a Good Man

Perry M. Fullerton was born near Bloomington, Indiana, February 18, 1847, and died at his late residence in Bluff Creek Township in this County, September 16, 1918, aged 71 years, six months and 28 days. His parents, John and Mary Fullerton, came to Monroe County when he was six years old and his life has been spent in this County, excepting two years in the West.

On December 29, 1870, he was married to Jeannie S. Forsythe. Two children were born to them, guide, who lives near the old home place, and Mrs. W.C. Miller of Glendora, California.

Mr. Fullerton was a member of United Presbyterian Church at Service Chapel for over 45 years.

He leaves his wife, two children, nine grandchildren and three brothers besides a host of friends to mourn his death.

He had not been well for several years and was a great sufferer for the last few months, but bore it all patiently.

The funeral was held at the Service church and he was laid to rest in the Service Cemetery.
