Tom W. Hicks, age 67, of Day Star Way, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Loris Community Hospital.
Mr. Hicks was born in Columbus, Ohio, a son of the late Frederick Wilbur Hicks and Florence Louise McCullough. He was a member of Sweetwater Branch Baptist Church. Mr. Hicks was a certified Lay Speaker. He was a member of Conway Masonic Lodge #65 AFM, Past Master Mason and Past Worthy Patron of The Order of Eastern Star. Mr. Hicks was a retired insurance agent. He was an avid golfer. Mr. Hicks was predeceased by his first wife, Penny Hicks. He was
a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to all who knew him.
Surviving are his wife, Frances Mishoe Hicks of Loris; two daughters, Cheri Bolger of Marlton, NJ and Krissy Collier of Loris; one step-son, Jeff Mishoe and wife Donna of Conway; five
grandchildren, Brandon Bolger, Connor Hicks, Ryan Hicks, Bradley Bolger and Madison Mishoe; one brother, Donald Paul Hicks of Willingboro, NJ.
Funeral services with Masonic Rites will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Sweetwater Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Mixon officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary United Methodist Church Cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
