Son of William Andersen and Florence Ella Henrie

William Lee Andersen, 77, a Sterling farmer, died at his home from an apparent heart attack early Sunday morning, Aug. 12.

He was born March 14. 1902, in Petersboro, Utah, the son of William and Florence Ella Henrie Andersen. His early childhood was spent in Howel, Utah, and he graduated from Box Elder High School.

On June 19, 1929. he was married to Jean Pickett in the Logan LDS Temple.

He farmed most of his life.

After buying farmland near Springfield in 1944, he and his family left Utah and spent the last 33 years in Idaho. They lived on the farm during the summer months and moved to Blackfoot during the winter for the children's schooling.

Mr. Andersen was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as a missionary in the southern states mission, as clerk, bishop's counselor, and as the first bishop of the Sterling ward. He also had served on the stake high council and was stake patriarch at the time of his death.

He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Federal Land Bank in Blackfoot for many years.

Survivors include his widow; four sons, Rowayne P. Andersen of Sterling, Ferron L. Andersen of Orem, Utah, Jay C. Andersen of Richfield, Utah, and Harlow Andersen of Pocatello; one daughter, Mrs. Lynn (Jeanine) Mickelsen of Idaho Falls; 27 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and brothers and sisters: Mrs. Alma (Rennis) Larkin of Snowville, Utah, Mary Hyden of Howell, Utah. Mrs. Joe (Florence) Johnson of Las Vegas,Nev., Mrs. Claude (Maude) Olsen of Brigham City, Utah, Preston Andersen of Matawa, Wash., Mrs. Orion (Erme) Summers of Salt Lakes City, Mrs. Morris (Afton) Miller of Layton, Andersen of Brigham City, Utah, Mike
Andersen of Tuolumne, Calif,. Mrs, Giant (Norma Ann) Hofler of Ogden, Utah, and Darwin Andersen of Middleton.

One son, one daughter and three brothers preceded him in
death.

Services were held Wednesday, August 15 at the Lakeview LDS ward in Springfield.

Interment was at the Providence Cemetery near Logan, Utah.
