Born March 18, 1911 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ralph and Virginia Louise Burton Cutler. Married Joseph Alton Gundersen on November 1, 1934 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Active member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Serving in ward and stake Primary, MIA and Relief Society organizations. Served with her husband, who was president, in the Norway Oslo Mission, 1961-63. Served on Relief Society General Board, 1963-74. Ordinance worker, Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Survived by children, Joan G. (Neil R). Van Leeuwen, Manti; Virginia G. (Robert L.) Halgren, Montana; Alton C. 'Tony" (Judy) Gundersen, Salt Lake; Retta Jean G. (Lewis) Chappell, Sandy; daughter-in-law, Sandra T. Gundersen, Salt Lake; sisters, Roberta (Bradford) Hatch, Provo; Alice May Cutler, Salt Lake; 24 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Joseph, son, Thomas C. Gunderson; three brothers and two sisters.
Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
