James Irvin Petty, 79, died Tuesday, October 9, 1934, at his home, 2828 Center St, after a seven-year illness. He was born in Indiana on September 28, 1855, and came to Kansas thirty-five years ago, settling at Marysville, KS. He had lived in Topeka, Ks for thirty years and for years was fireman at the Throop Hotel.
