AGED WOMAN DIES IN HOUSTON, TEX.
Mrs. Harriet Thornburg, 84, Survived by Son - Funeral Here Will Be Wednesday

Mrs. Harriet Thornburg, 84, who fell ten days ago at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Harry Robbins, in Houston, Tex., passed away in the hospital there at 2 p.m. Sunday. Her son, Calvin, had been with her for the past week but left there Saturday and got a telegram here Sunday night. The body is expected to arrive here Tuesday evening and the funeral will be held in the home of her son at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The deceased was a daughter of Calvin D. and Sarah (Robertson) Tillson and was born in Milford, June 10, 1852. She was married there to Merit Thornburg of Shelby county Sept. 20, 1877, and lived on a farm a few miles northwest of Milford until 1886 when they came to Greensburg where her husband died Jan. 5, 1887.

Her home for many years was at 620 North Franklin street. She had spent several winters in Texas and Florida with her grandchildren and left here a month ago to visit her grandchildren at Houston, expecting to leave there this month for Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to be with her grandson, Ralph Eward, and family. Mrs. Thornburg was quite active for her years and prided herself on being a good traveler, going alone to Texas and Florida for several years.

The surviving relatives are her son, Calvin, of Clay township, and six grandchildren; Mrs. Evelyn Robbins of Houston and her grandson, Ralph Eward, of Fort Lauderdale, and Merit Thornburg, of Waldron, and Mary Ruth at home.

There are four great-grandchildren: David and Roxylyn Robbins and Neil and infant Eward. Also a sister, Mrs. Wannetta Seitz, of this city. A brother, C.D. Tillson, died here a few years ago, and a daughter, Mrs. Roxy Eward, died here Oct. 23, 1912.

The deceased was a devoted member of the Methodist church and had many friends who will sincerely regret her passing away.
