New Haven Register, CT--June 18, 1995 A private service will be held for Hubert V. LaMOTTE, 84, of 47 Church St., who died Friday, June 16, 1995, in Yale-New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. He was the widower of Dorothea VREELAND LaMOTTE. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park, Hamden. The Curtis-Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 69 S. Main St., is in charge of arrangements. Mr. LaMOTTE was born on Sept. 5, 1910, in Richmond, Ind., a son of the late Ross and Gertrude WEBER LaMOTTE. He was a longtime Branford resident. He was the owner of the LaMotte News Agency in Branford for many years and later worked for the New Haven Register. Mr. LaMotte was a member of Widows Lodge 66 F & AM in Branford. Survivors include three sons, Duane D. LaMOTTE of Barrington, Ill., Ross R. LaMOTTE of Richmand, Va., and Craig C. LaMOTTE of Crystal Lake, Ill.; two brothers, Ralph LaMOTTE of Indianapolis, Ind., and Lowell LaMOTTE of Deep River; five sisters, Ada HAINES of Stateville, Pa., Rhea READNOUR of Muncie, Ind., Marjorie HINESLEY of Brookville, Ind., Laurell STINE of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Betty STEWART of Indianapolis; and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Vera LaMOTTE.
