In 1882, Mr. Weldon L. Rucker operated a rooming house in the infant town of Albany, On a day in February of that year a Mr.Evans got off the train in Albany, travel worn and ill. Mr. Rucker took him home with him. The next morning it became evident that the stranger had small pox. It spread through the Rucker family killing most of the family.
Information from the 1860, 1870 and 1880 U.S. Census indicate that Weldon was born in 1835 in Tennessee.

Do not know where she is buried. He is buried in Oklahoma.
