Korean Aid Group Thanked

An Oakland Marine sergeant, just back from 11 months in
Korea, dropped into The Tribune's accounting department yesterday to deliver the thanks of some 1500 Korean refugees. The "thank you" was for two boxes of clothing collected by accounting department personnel and forwarded to the sergeant for distribution to an entire village of 800 adults and 700 children adopted by his battaliion. Sgt. Robert E. Fitzgerald, of 2308 Campbell Street, a former master dealer with The Tribune, had written the newspaper asking for help in providing clothing for the village befriended by his unit - the First Engineer Battalion,First Marine Division.

Emma J. Willing, 1560 Alice Street, an employee o£ The Tribune's accounting department for 23 years, read of the request and with the aid of other department workers collected the boxes of clothing and sent them on their way.

Sergeant Fitzgerald, who is on his way to Camp Pendleton for re-assignment, brought the heart- felt thanks of the war-stricken Koreans.
