Came to Texas in 1852 with her parents and several siblings. Wife of Dallas County county commissioner, Nathaniel O. McAdams. They lived on a farm on the present day site of Wynnewood Village Shopping Center in Oak Cliff, a Dallas neighborhood.

The letters FNDOZBTKC (see below) on her tombstone are a designation conferred by Masons on their wives or daughters or sisters or mothers. Popular in the mid-1800’s to early 1900’s in southern states.
