Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine B. Jones, 79, whose death occured at her residence, 2218 Second Street, at 7 a.m. yesterday, after a long illness, will be held in the chapel of Hart's mortuary at 11 a.m. today. Elder A. J. Banks will officiate and interment will be in Cedar Ridge cemetery.
Pallbearers will be F. W. Williams, J. R. Childs, J. S. Tabor, C. H. Hancock, P. E. Middlebrooks, and S. E. Pittishall.
Mrs. Jones was born in Crawford county March 31, 1857, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Beckham, and had made her home in Macon for 40 years. She was a member of the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist church.
Surviving Mrs. Jones are her husband, J. S. Jones, Macon; three sons, J. H. Jones and W. J. Jones, Macon; and Matt Jones, Port Arthur, Texas; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a half-brother, Will Lumney, Lizella.
