Chris retired from the U.S. Army in 1988, and worked for the Federal Government's Department of Justice until his retirement in 1997. He is survived by his wife and soulmate, Mi Suk Kester; and his parents, mother Donna and Don Kershner of Springfield, Mo., and father Larry and Shirley Adkins, Salinesville, Ohio. He is also survived by his three daughters, Jamie and Matthew Tucker of Ft. Campbell, KY, C.J. and Bryce Rollwagen of Springfield, MO, and Jessica Kester of Nixa, MO. Also his three sisters, LouElla and Jim Miller of Nixa, MO, Rolina and Ken Everett of St. Joseph, MO, and Sonya and Carlos Bejarano of Clever, MO. Chris also had three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard and Nellie Rowand.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 28, 2009, at 12 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa with Pastor Jamie Bilyeu officiating.
