Abt. 1825 IN, d. 1875, Caldwell Co., MO. Buried at Trosper Cemetery on the Caldwell-Davies Co., line) d/o Joseph Embree and Mary “Polly” Bell. Daniel moved to Iowa where he d. before 8-18-1864 in Buchanan Co., MO, killed on his own doorstep by Civil War guerrilla raiders. After his death, his widow married John Huffman (d. before 1870) who was a Civil War veteran. Children by Shepherd: Sarah T., Mary F., Ulric Zwingle, William, and Isabelle.
