Leona Foster
Leona Foster, 88, formerly of Topeka, Kansas, died March 9, 2009 in Norman, Oklahoma. A Chapel Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March12, 2009 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka, Kansas. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home, Norman, Oklahoma.
Ms. Foster was born in Greeley, Kansas, on September 11, 1920, to Earl and Esther Lombard. She married Glenn Foster on December 6, 1941. As an active member of First Southern Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas, she served as a preschool worker for over 40 years.
Ms. Foster was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 2 brothers and 2 daughters, Beverly Foster Rogers and Ginger Geis. Survivors included her daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Dale Pace, Moore, Oklahoma; son-in-law, Dale Geis, Norman, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Kenneth Rogers, Topeka, Kansas and Kevin Rogers, of Newalla, Oklahoma; a sister, Earlene Kincheloe, Iola, Kansas, a brother and his wife, Larry and Dee Lombard, Higginsville, Missouri and sister-in-law Rosalie Lombard, Emporia, Kansas.
The family would like to thank the staff of Moore Nursing Home and ROSS Hospice for their love and care.
