GILES PARMAN m.Elizabeth Penn his first wife and m.Phoebe Gilbert his second wife.Giles was born In Luzerne Wyoming Valley area of Pennsylvania. Giles m.Elizabeth Penn in 1775 and they lived in Wyoming Valley, Luzerne County Pennsylvania.

Giles fought in the Revolution and the Battle Of Wyoming was fought in their home town. Giles was in Pennsylvania as late as 1790 and they immigrated to Greene County Tennessee and lived near Greenville Tennessee and at some time before 1799 Elizabeth died. It was here on January 10 1799 he married Phoebe Gilbert Woolsey. Giles was on a tax payers list in Greene County Tennessee in 1805.

By 1810 Giles is living in Knox County Kentucky and has a plantation on the banks of the Cumberland River. His will is found in the records for Knox County. He lives here near two of his son's and raises horses. The land had abundant farm land to raise crops and he share cropped with others. He has one daughter by his second wife living in his home. Giles was serving as a judge when he died in 1832.

It is unknown where his grave site is but his daughter Mary Catherine was married to Thomas Mackey and a Mackey cemetery site sits upon the site of his plantation less tha a 1/4 mile from his home.
