Bernice married Frank Newcomb in 1940 and had three children, Frank, Jr., Anna Marie, and Richard Lee.
In 1965, she married George Johnson in Indiana and then moved to Tyrone, Mo., where they made their home.
She worked as a checker most of her life and was awarded "Checker of the Year" several years in a row. She retired in 1989 in Florida.
