Margaret Alice (Peg) Horve, 87, of Forsyth died on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 1:25 a.m.
Margaret was born on November 1st, 1922 in Paris, Illinois. She grew up in Georgetown, IL, the daughter of Jess and Dora (Pyle) Boland. She met the love of her life, Ken Horve, and they were married on December 14th, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri. They celebrated 68 years of marriage. Margaret was a beautician and had her own salon in her home for many years. She was an avid bowler and over the years bowled in several leagues on several teams. Later in life she and Ken were members of South Side Country Club where they enjoyed playing golf with many of their friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 14th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday from noon until 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Kenneth R. Horve of Forsyth: daughter, Carol Anne Fisher of Decatur; sons, Mike K. (Marty) Horve of Argenta and Steve R. (Odette) Horve of Forsyth; brothers, Bob (Martha) Boland of Westville, IL and Leo Boland of Kankakee, IL; sister, Betty (Harry) McGowan of St. Anne, IL; grandsons, Keith (Julie) Voelker of Forsyth, Matt (Jennifer) Voelker of Decatur, Rodney, Chad and Kevin Horve of Decatur, Steve (Tina), Jeffrey (MIchelle) and Jacob Horve of Forsyth; granddaughter, Holly Fisher of Decatur; great-grandchildren, Bryan, Brooke and Rylee Voelker of Decatur; Lauren, Gunnar, Will, Lucas, and Jack Horve of Forsyth; step-great-grandchildren, Brittney and Samantha McKinney of Forsyth and Payton Wooten of Decatur. And a special friend Gabrielle Sams of Forsyth.
Margaret was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers, Cleo and Donald Boland; grandson Phillip Voelker; great-grandchildren Nathan and Elizabeth Horve.
