Elizabeth (Haviland) Carrier was the daughter of David Jay Haviland (not yet proven) and Anna Eliza (Button) Haviland. She was the 1st wife of Duane Williams Carrier and the mother of Willis Haviland Carrier. WILLIS WAS THE INVENTOR OF THE FIRST SCIENTIFIC AIR--CONDITIONER. Elizabeth died when Willis was only eleven years of age.
