DALTON, RUBY WITT - age 97 of Sweetwater, passed away Monday October 6, 2008. She was a 40 year member of the First Presbyterian of Sweetwater. Her greatest hobbies were fishing and gardening. Preceded in death by husband, Lloyd Dalton; parents, Bill and Creta Witt; brothers, Royce, Ed, Max, and Ivan Witt; sister, Wilma West Jump.

Survived by: sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Carolyn Dalton of Sweetwater, Billy and Anne Dalton Saint Cloud, Minnesota, David Dalton of Sweetwater, Bob and Brenda Dalton of Madisonville; daughters and sons-in-law,
Joyce and the (late George W. Cansler Jr.) of Sweetwater, Peggy and Don Holland of Sweetwater, Kathy and Roger West of Tellico Plains; grandchildren, Debbie Trout, Donna Fisher, Alan Dalton, Danny Cansler, Pe n ny R o e g e l e i n , A bbie Frisbie, Mike Henderson, Barbara Omohumdro, Lloyd Dalton, Thomas Dalton, Joe Dalton, David Dalton Jr., Susan Dalton, Karen Apple, Sarah Ann Chamblee, Cory Dalton, Brooke Johannsen, Britt Dalton, Jeremy West, Joy McGuire, Summar West; 37 greatgrandchildren; 4 great-greatgrandchildren; brother, Jim Witt of Etowah; sister, Velma Wail Dalton of Tellico Plains; several nieces, nephew and cousins. Presbyterian Church of Sweetwater, Thursday, October 9, 2008 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Ted Baker and Rev. Ed Donely officiating. Graveside service and interment 10:00 AM Friday, at West View Cemetery . In lieu of flowers, send donations to First Presbyterian Church in Sweetwater. Kyker Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
