William Dickey Browder is the son of David Asbury and Rachel Letitia Dickey Browder. William married Ada Lou Peak on October 5, 1887, they had an infant son who was born and died in June 1888. They had a daughter Hattie Mae Browder.

July 28, 1929:

SWEETWATER, Tenn., July 27. The funeral of W.D. Browder, 70, who was fatally injured when struck by an automobile in Chattanooga Friday night, will be conducted from the Methodist Episcopal Church, sough here Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The Rev. M. A. Stevenson, pastor, will officiate, assisted by Dr. W. S. Neighbors of Chattanooga. Burial will be in West View cemetery.

Frank E. Browder, brother of the victim, is expected to arrive here from Mankato, Minn., early Monday morning. It was also understood that H. W. Browder, of El Paso, Tex., another brother, was on his way here.

Mr. Browder was fatally injured when he was struck by an automobile driven by George Donehue, a messenger for the First National bank, of Chattanooga, as the latter was hurrying to the post office there with the bank's daily registered mail shipment. Donehue told police that Mr. Browder walked into the side of his car.
