Born in Jefferson County,Ind.he was received at Caledonia Presbyterian Church (on the border of Jefferson and Switzerland Counties) on 28 April 1901. He was employed by the Elmer E. Scott Company in Madison when he registered for the draft on 5 June 1917 and was living at 415 West Second Street. He served in WWI in France. He moved to Kansas City, then Topeka where he married on 15 May 1920, Ruth Pearl Judy (21 Dec. 1893-18 Oct. 1980). They moved to Terra Haute, Ind. in 1922 and to Albuquerque, N.M. in 1929. He was living Santa Fe, N.M., on 14 Jan. 1930 when he sold interest in his parent’s farm to his sister Della. He moved to Hot Springs, S.D., in 1943 and then to Colorado Springs, Colo., in 1954, where he died. His information was provided by his daughter, Barbara.
