Carie Etta Moore was the eldest child and only daughter of Newton Jasper Moore and Sarah "Sally" Margaret Garrett Moody Moore together. They only had one other child together, a son, Henry Augustus Moore. Carie Moore married Hezekiah Bennett "Hez" "Ben" Childs. They had two children, one son, Dedrick "Deck" Childs and Mary Childs. Carie died while her children were still young, leaving them to be raised by her husband. we assume one of the sand rock markers on both sides of her grave belong to her mother.
