Horace Venson Arms
Greer

Horace Venson Arms, 71, of 2887 North McElhaney Road, died March 24, 2009, at his residence.

A native of Greenville County, son of the late Connie and Ruth Loftis Arms, he was a retired paint contractor, a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Milford Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Edna Kemp Arms of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Chris Harvey of Greer; three sons and daughter-in-law, Danny Arms of Marshville, N.C., David Arms of Taylors and Damon and Michelle Arms of Greer; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Peggy Arms of Reidville and Randall and Vera Arms of Saluda, N.C.; a sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Raymond Howell of Taylors; and four grandchildren, Justin and Amy Harvey and Nathan and Kylie Arms.

Mr. Arms was predeceased by a sister, Faye Quinn.

Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Friday at Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. David Slatton and Milom Williams. Burial will follow in Milford Baptist Church Cemetery.

Deacons and Former Deacons will serve as honorary escort.

Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.

Memorials may be made to Interim Hospice, 775 Spartan Boulevard, Spartanburg, S.C. 29301.
