HAMILTON, JAMES EDWARD

Mr. Hamilton, 66, of Beaver Valley, Flinton RD, died at 5:45 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, 1983, in Altoona Hospital, after an extended illness. Mr. Hamilton retired as a coal miner in 1973. He was born Dec. 25, 1916, in Van Ormer, the son of Ambrose and Jane (Rice) Hamilton, and Dec. 17, 1938, in Rosebud, married Dorothy Irene Gray. Surviving are his wife, four children: James E. Jr. of Rosebud, Coalport RD, and David, Robert E. and Mrs. Sharon I. Anderson of Irvona; 11 grandchildren and a great-grandson. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Myra LaPenna of Van Ormer. Mr. Hamilton was a member of the Glendale Assembly of God Church, Coalport. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Donald J. Gibbons Funeral Home, Coalport, and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday in the Glendale Assembly of God Church.

HAMILTON – Services for James E. Hamilton of Beaver Valley, Flinton RD, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Glendale Assembly of God Church, by the Rev. R. H. Chaney. Interment in Beaver Valley Cemetery, Flinton RD. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Donald J. Gibbons Funeral Home, Coalport, and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday in the Glendale Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David.
