Benjamin, known as Ben, was the last of Herman August & Wilhelmina Therese (Draheim) Page's eleven children. His siblings were: William Frederick, Henry Carl, Lydia Martha, Louise Helen, Frederick George, Herman R., Edwin Frank, George Albert, Helen Esther, & Agnes Margaret.

His parents migrated from Germany; his father in 1861 & his mother, the following year. On June 11, 1900, Benjamin, age 5, lived with his parents & siblings in Brooklyn, Green Lake Co, WI. His parents had been married 32 years. His mother had given birth to 13 children, but only 11 were still living. His father supported the family by farming.

Benjamin, age 22 & still single, was living at 217 Howard St. in Ripon, Fond Du Lac Co, WI when he registered for the WWI draft in Polk Co, MN on June 5, 1917. The place & date of his of birth was shown as Brooklyn, WI, July 17, 1894. He was employed by the S.D. Works doing farm labor. His physical description was shown as tall, blue eyes, & brown hair.

On January 2, 1920, Ben (age 25) was still single and lived in a boarding house in the District of Columbia with other men who worked as scientists, physicists, etc. for the government. Ben, a scientist, had a job as a physicist for the National Bureau of Standards.

Ben met a pretty young woman, Helen Evadna Bell, who had graduated from George Washington University in 1927. After graduating she returned to MO where she had planned to be married & pursue a teaching career. All her plans were shattered when her fiancé drowned. She returned to Washington D.C. where she & Ben met and were married on October 5, 1928. They bought a three-story house nearby in Maryland, where they lived the remainder of their lives. (More about Helen on her memorial.)

Ben died on October 9, 1977 and was buried on October 12, 1977. Helen chose Fort Lincoln Cemetery as his final resting place.
