Son of Albert Greer Laurie and Lillian Roberts, born in Columbus, Indiana. His mother died when he was very young and is buried in the Roberts family plot at Gnaw Bone, Indiana. Paul married Olivia Lister on Sept. 13, 1941 in Columbus, Indiana. The marriage was annulled and there were no children from this marriage. Paul then married Juanita Marie Jordan on October 31, 1942 at the First Christian Church in East St. Louis, IL. Paul was a member of the U.S. Navy and served with the CeeBee's (Construction Battalion) in Bermuda and his wife worked as a secretary at the base there. Upon their return to the U.S. Paul was employed by Cummins and retired in 1970. He was a 33rd degree Mason and a member of the Shrine. He and his wife, Juanita (Pat) retired to Brown County Indiana on the farm left to him by his father. Both enjoyed this rural life for many years and were well respected members of the Nashville community.
