Lue E. Berry Dead.
Miss Lue E. Berry died at the residence of her father, Wm. M. Berry, one mile south of Ellettsville, Thursday, Sept. 8, 1898, at 9:30 p.m., from a complication of diseases, the stomach and lungs being the worst affetced [sic] at the time of her death. She was born at Chariton, Iowa, Sept. 1, 1870, and was 28 years and 7 days old when she died. After being in poor health all spring she was confined to her room about the first of May and steadily grew weaker and worse with brief but temporary rallies from that time on. About three weeks ago the lungs became more thoroughly involved, and from this time of the work of the destroyer was more rapid. Internment
was held at the M. E. cemetery Saturday morning after a short service at the family residence by Rev. O. E. Allen.
Thus has passed away one of the sweetest dispositions and best girls of this vicinity.
