She was born in Warren county Kentucky, and married at the age of 19. She was converted at the age of 15 and joined the Baptist church and has ever lived a true Christian life. The deceased was taken with heart failure on last Tuesday morning and it was thought for a time she was dead but finally rallied an sang the hymn she loved so well-----" When I can read my title clear."
She has been an invalid for many years and for the last 18 years was blind but through it all has ever been patient and contented with her lot. She was the mother of ten children, six of whom survive her.
The funeral services were held at her late home at 11 o'clock Friday, conducted by Rev. F.A. Bodwell. The text was from Phil. 1:23---"For me to Live is Christ, but to die is Gain". She was laid to rest in the Haynesville cemetery. A beautiful song service was rendered at the grave by the choir.
We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to the friends and neighbors who so kinly assisted us during the sickness and death of our mother. We can only commend you to Him who said "Inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these, ye did it unto me."
