Born in West Greenwich on April 21, 1922 he was a son of the late Thurston Albro and S. Alida (Verrier) Grundy. He was the father of Lee H. Albro and his wife Louise of Coventry, Dean H. Albro and his wife Suzanne of Coventry, Wendy G. Chapman and her husband Neil of Richmond and Beth A. Riccio and her husband Fred of North Kingstown. He was the brother of Ruth Lussier of Cranston and of the late Merrill, Ralph and Clifford Albro and Lois Rathbun. He was a loving grandpa to Melissa, Allison, Kimberly, Chrissy, Paige, Gabrielle and Miranda and great grandpa to Zachary.
Mr. Albro was a member of the Rhode Island State House of Representatives in 1949. He worked for the State of Rhode Island for thirty years before retiring in 1990 as a Lt. Deputy Sheriff of Kent County.
He will be remembered for his love of family, his sense of humor and for his fondness of antique cars.
