Allen enlisted at age 16 fibbing on his enlistment papers. He was a recondo and jungle expert qualified paratrooper serving during the Vietnam War with the 82nd Airborne Division as a team leader. He was promoted to "buck" sargeant E-5 at age 18. He was a police office for a short period after leaving the Army in 1975 serving with the Yuba College Police Department. Allen loved music including the band Led Zeppelin, Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd, country singers Marty Robbins, Bellamy Bro., David Allen Coe. He enjoyed horror movies, hunting, and fishing for catfish in the Sutter By-Pass and Sacramento River. Allen was intelligent and an excellent communicator, and stood by his convictions---he was an American patriot . He was a republican who supported President Reagan. Allen was a passenger in a vehicle of which the driver had been drinking alcohol. The driver lost control and rolled the vehicle. Allen died of his injuries. He is the son of Milton Victor Eugene Woods and Nora M. (Weger) Woods- His son is Matthew Scott Woods. His widow Mary Lou passed away in 2003 and her ashes spread over his grave. " AIRBORNE All THE WAY!"

Allen descended from Captain John Woods American Revolutionary War officer.

Revelations 21:4 - And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
