J. T. LYLE.
I listed as James T Lyle
Could I have his name wrong?
There was also a John T. Lyle who served in the same company (2nd Company F) and there is very little info in his service record. I believe I have info that suggests he was captured at Nashville on 16 December 1864 and imprisoned at Camp Douglas. I digress.... The 1860 Census of Cobb County shows Dilmus and Martha Lyle with a 12 year old son, J.T. Lyle. Since he enlisted in 1863 he would have been 15 when he enlisted which was not uncommon. Your FAG site shows a "James T. Lyle b. 1848" , and I'm trying to determine if the 1860 Census refers to "James T. Lyle". Would you possibly have any info which may clarify this?
