Michael T. Burns Sr., 73, died Monday, He was a 31 year resident of Las Vegas.
A World War II Veteran, he was born 31 Jan. 1913 Chicago and was a bell Captain.
He was a member of the Sons of Erin, the VFW. and Culinary Union.
He is Survived by his sons, Tommy of Henderson, Patrick and Michael Jr., both of Las Vegas, David of Pamona, Calif., Michael Burns of Las Vegas; daughters, Susan Sharp of Oakland, Calif. and Nancy Clark of Los Angles, Louise Burns of Las Vegas; brother David Burns of Culver, Ind.; and four grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at noon Friday at Palm Valley View Chapel. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, family requests any donations be made to Secret Witness.

WWII Enlisted 18 Dec 1943 Rank Pvt. 1st Class Parachute Inf. discharged 19 Oct. 1945 Percy Jones Hospital Center Ft. Custer, Mi. received: Bronze Star, 1 Gold conduct medal; 1 African Middle eastern Campaign medal. Besides the medals listed previous on 10 Nov. 2004 they Archivist stated he was also entitled to the following also: World War II Victory Medal; Expert Infantryman Badge; Honorable Service Lapel Button.
