F. Kibler Moon, 81, of 2635 Main Street, Newberry, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Moon was born on September 26, 1924 in Newberry, the son of the late Fred T. and Carrie Mae Wheelis Moon. He attended Newberry College and received an associate's degree. He was a World War II Navy veteran, having served as a medic for the Marines in the Pacific Theatre stationed in Guam. He was a retired Office Manager of Senn Trucking Company, a member of the Central United Methodist Church, and the Chesley Cannon Bible Class. He was an honorary member of the Exchange Club having been a member for 35 years.
Mr. Moon is survived by his wife, Jenny DeHihns Moon; and a brother-in-law, Billy DeHihns of the home. He was predeceased by a sister, Corinne Moon.
Funeral services were conducted 4:00 P. M. Friday at Central United Methodist Church by Rev. Dr. John Miller. Interment was in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
The family did receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 P. M. Thursday at the residence, 2635 Main Street, Newberry

Active pallbearers were Raymond Smith, Andy Morris, Julian Hicks, John Paul Whitaker, Phil Livingston, Robin Hazel, Billy Neel, and James "Bo" Hamm. Honorary pallbearers were H. C. and Retha Smith and members of the Chesley Cannon Bible Class and the Ezell Bible Class.
