GARDINER--Mrs. Annie M. Grady died Friday morning after a short illness at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Katherine Hersom on Neal Street. She was born in Pittston June 5, 1867, the daughter of Ambrose and Harriet (Mayo) Williams. She had lived in Gardiner for the past 24 years and was a member of the Togus Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars.

She is survived by her husband, William Grady; six sons, Ambrose Grady of Whitefield, John A. Grady of Jefferson, William J. Grady of Chelsea, Charles E. Grady of Gardiner, Joseph G. Grady of Whitefield and Arthur B. Grady of Chelsea.; four daughters, Miss Edith Grady of Gardiner, Mrs. Annie Collier and Mrs. Harriet Sweetland, both of Augusta, and Mrs. Katherine Hersom of Gardiner; four brothers, Augustus J. Williams and Charles H. Williams, both of Augusta, and Frederick Williams and Arthur Williams, both of California; twenty-two grandchildren. eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Staples Funeral Home in Gardiner Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. . . Committal services were conducted by the Rev. John McSweeney and burial was in the family lot at Calvary Cemetery in Whitefield. [Contributor: Whitefield Historical Society # 47663682]
