South Bend -- Noel W. Maxwell, 53, of 1934 Hempstead Drive, died at 10:05 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Maxwell was traffic manager for Accra Pac Inc., Elkhart.
He was born Sept. 2, 1938, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; a daughter, Susan Maxwell of South Bend; two sons, Noel Jr. and Robert, both of Grand Rapids; his mother, Helen Maxwell of South Bend; and two sisters, Carol Feltman of Granger and Judy Bergen of Belleville, Ill.
He was a member of Delta Nu Alpha Transportation Fraternity and South Bend Transportation Club, a volunteer for American Red Cross, a national and state emergency medical technician and a Navy veteran.
