Kathryn Ruth Perkins Fields passed away in Fresno, Ca. She waited to see her grandchildren graduate from college, marry and have children and now she is joined with the love of her life, her husband, Joe B. Fields, who preceded her in death on November 15, 1997.

She was born in Opelousas, La. to Robert Perkins and Clara Price.

She was a graduate from the University of Arkansas with a BA in Liberal Studies in 1936, where she met her beloved husband. She was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority.

She married Joe B. Fields on September 4, 1937, with whom she shared faith in God, nurture of the family and delight in friends. They were married for 60 years until his death.

She was a dedicated homemaker and was a strong supporter in the Fresno community. Kathryn was a Charter Member of San Joaquin Country Club and loved to play golf with her husband, family and friends. In addition, she traveled the world with Joe. One of her favorite trips was on an African Safari. But when it came time to relax, they enjoyed vacationing in Maui where there was plenty of golf and Hawaiian drinks.
